Birthday off with pay: After being with the company one year, our employees received their birthday off paid each year. If it fell on a weekend or holiday, they were able to pick another day to have off.
Educational and fun company trip paid by employer: As a financial planning and asset management company, I took the staff to New York City to tour the NY stock exchange and other work and non-work related places. All expenses were paid by me including meals, entrance fees, transportation, and regular pay.
Movie and/or Lottery Tickets: The office manager was given a supply of movie and lottery tickets to keep on hand. Any time a staff person did something “above and beyond” he rewarded them with a “little free gift”.
