I will be your instructor for a 4-hour continuing education class for financial advisors and insurance professionals to maintain their licenses.
What you will learn:
- Recognize the major tenets of the federal E-Sign Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) as they apply to insurance transactions
- Know the major elements of the electronic commerce marketplace as it applies to insurance
- State security and safeguarding responsibilities of insurers and licensees, particularly in light of our eCommerce and mobile device environment
- Indicate primary privacy issues of concern in the insurance industry
- Distinguish between the producer’s responsibility to customarily keep information “confidential” and required processes to safeguard “private” information
- Recall the major responsibilities of licensees under applicable privacy laws and regulations
- Understand the importance of state E-Commerce and ESign laws and regulations as an insurance licensee
- Identify the major elements of an insurance office security program
- Define security and privacy tools and processes, such as encryption, firewall and digital signature
- Understand the important place of legal disclosure in insurance transactions and how this applies in E commerce transactions
