Charity Auctions – Helping Others While Helping Yourself

My husband and I enjoy going to charity auctions. With the economy tight, it gives needed money to the charity and we get some great things at a reduced cost. For our anniversary we were able to use a certificate for dinner for two and an overnight stay at a local casino for less than $100. We often bid on places we have never been or have been wanting to try. We keep a list of all the items we have accumulated so we can use them whenever we need a break or something different to do. Some of our items have included a hot air balloon ride for two, a weekend away, dinner for two once a month for a year at a different restaurant each month, golf, bowling, theater, advertising for my business and a lot more.
